In order to consistently achieve our mission to serve our clients by developing and protecting the health, beauty, and value of their landscape plants, we determined early on that we must remain focused specifically on only plant health services. Even so, we see plant health as encompassing a number of both commonplace and specialty services provided as either preventive or therapeutic.

Pest Management

Unceasing seasonal attacks by insect and disease pests take their toll on valued landscape plants. We specialize in accurate diagnosis and time critical treatment of landscape ornamentals, and shade tree insect or disease issues.

Growth Management

No matter if you are trying to bring older plants back to a manageable size, or have trees or shrubs you would like to maintain at a healthy shape and size. We have the products and knowledge to help limit growth in an effort to minimize your maintenance costs and maximize your landscapes beauty!

Nutrition Management

Deciduous, conifer, acid loving, chelated iron fortified.....?? Sometimes fertilizing landscape ornamentals and shade trees can seem so confusing. There are no “one size fits all” fertilizers. We are experts at knowing When, What Type, and How Much fertilizer your plants need. We also provide specialty fertilization such as tree trunk injections to address specific nutrient deficiencies.

Tree Support Systems (Cabling/Bracing)

While supplemental support is not a necessity in all, or even most trees, it takes a keen eye to spot structural deficiencies prior to a failure. Oftentimes the life expectancy of a tree with a structural defect can be greatly extended with properly designed and installed bracing systems. In some situations trees can be preserved after a failure through prompt trauma care to address minor injuries before additional damage occurs.

Root Therapy

Unfortunately, through the process of new construction, or addition and remodeling projects, trees are the last thing people are thinking about. While we prefer to get involved at the planning stage to help preserve valued trees throughout the construction process, we can also help create plans and solutions to provide trauma care to trees already damaged by root zone compaction or excavation.

Lightning Protection Systems

High value trees sometimes call for high value protection. We have installed lightning protection systems for customers who are interest in protecting the value of their trees in addition to valuables in their home. A tree's value extends well beyond the cost to remove it if dies. Appraised values for trees we have protected extend into thousands, or tens of thousands of dollars.

Trees are living things with numerous factors affecting their health, most of which are outside the control of man.
No warranty is expressed or implied by virtue of services provided by Growing Concerns KC, LLC,
or its sub-contractors, with exception of such warranties as may be provided by law.

Tree lightning protection systems are intended to reduce the risk of damage to trees and adjacent structures from lightning strikes.
They are not intended to directly protect people from lightning strikes or step voltage. Protected trees are not considered a safe haven from lightning strikes during a storm.
Tree lighting protections systems are not designed to protect electronic systems within adjacent structures or outside of structures.
Such systems include but may not be limited to irrigation or night lighting clocks & controls, well pumps,
household mechanical equipment, appliances and general household electronics.
